UNDERSTAND THE SOLUTION

Website maintenance, beyond the label.

What it is and what it means

Website maintenance keeps the platform, extensions and essential features working after launch. Editorial changes and new-feature development have a separate scope.

What it can bring to the business

It can limit compatibility problems and make interventions more predictable. A useful plan starts with the existing platform and integrations.

How it is managed in practice

Management defines updates, backups, checks and alert ownership. Significant changes are tested before production; support follows the agreement rather than an implied permanent availability.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

What needs checking before and after an update?

An operating plan makes responsibilities visible: who receives alerts, how a backup is checked and how an update is prepared. Together we agree the support level and the risks to address first, before they become urgent.

What takes shape in the project

We agree what belongs in the project, what implementation involves and what is better left for a later stage.

  • Technical inventory and maintenance plan
  • Updates, monitoring and periodic reviews
  • Backup policies and restoration exercises

HOW WE WORK

Know where we are. Know what comes next.

01

Discovery

Understand the people, the problem and the intended outcome. Surface the questions still open.

02

Strategy

Choose the first useful version, dependencies and the milestones for evaluating progress.

03

Design

Put workflows in front of you before they become features that are expensive to change.

04

Development

Build in stages you can see, test and discuss.

05

Testing

Check usage scenarios, accessibility and the application’s sensitive points.

06

Launch

Prepare the environment, content, access and agreed administration steps.

07

Support

Prioritise improvements and agree the support that fits the product.

FAQ

The things worth clarifying from the start.

What is agreed before website maintenance starts?

We inventory the application, hosting, access and integrations. We define updates, monitoring and the agreed response process; support levels and response times belong in the contract.

Is a successful backup enough for recovery?

Restoration also needs verification in a separate environment. The plan specifies what is backed up, where copies and keys are held, retention and who performs recovery.
